Monroe sits in the Long Tom River valley in southern Benton County, surrounded by low, rolling hills and agricultural land. The terrain is predominantly flat to gently rolling, with the Long Tom River winding through the valley floor and seasonal tributaries cutting through the surrounding hills. From our Jefferson headquarters, Monroe is approximately 45 minutes southwest via Highway 99W through Corvallis, covering about 35 miles. Alternatively, we can reach Monroe via Highway 99W through south Corvallis and the Bellfountain area. While Monroe is farther from our base than some service areas, we regularly combine Monroe-area projects with work in Corvallis, Philomath, and northern Lane County to use travel time efficiently.
